Each team member will have to do a beer bong with approximately 12 oz of beer and then lift the legs of their teammate, while their teammate crawls on their hands ‘wheel-barrow-style’ the length of the relay. Your team’s total time will determine your rank among the other teams and the rank will determine your points for this event.
The Beer Relay:
Player 1 and 2 start behind the line on side A. (Player 3 will be waiting on side B)
Player 1 chugs the beer bong.
Player 1 holds up Player 2 as they crawl “wheel-barrow” style across the line on side B.
Player 2 then chugs the beer bong.
Player 2 holds up Player 3 as they crawl “wheel-barrow” style from side B, back across the line on side A.
Player 3 then chugs the beer bong.
Player 3 holds Player 4 as they crawl “wheel-barrow” style across the line on side B. (wait, not done)
Player 4 then chugs the beer bong.
Player 1 MUST STILL crawl (as Player 4 holds their legs) “wheel-barrow” style, back across the line on side A.
Total time will determine rank for event and total points for the overall competition.
Various degrees of “Spillage” will result in time penalties; they are as follows:
“Slight Spillage” is defined as unintentional drips or minimal leakage from the side of your mouth; less than two ounces spilled. This will be up to the judgment of the DBO Beer Bong Relay Judge. This amount of Spillage will result in no penalty.
“Moderate Spillage” is defined as unintentional, but noticeable ‘gushing’ from the beer bong that does not get swallowed; between 2 and 4 ounces spilled. The determination of this amount will be up to the Judges’ ruling. This amount of Spillage will result in a 2 second penalty (2 sec will be added to your time).
“Significant Spillage” is defined as unintentional spilling of beer over 4 ounces, but still trying to fairly complete the beer bong; Judges will rule on this. This amount of Spillage will result in a 5 second penalty (5 sec will be added to your team’s time).
“Intentional” or “Over-Spillage” is defined as the player intentionally spilling or ‘not drinking’ beer from the beer bong. Or the unintentional spillage of over half the beer. This amount of Spillage will result in a player disqualification and a 5 second penalty. This means that 5 seconds will be added to your time and your team will only get three quarters of the points your rank earns you for this event. (If two players receive the “Intentional/Over-Spillage” penalty, then your team gets 10 seconds added to your time and only half of the points that rank earns you, and so on).
**Spilling rules are laid out to give guidelines to you for the penalties that may be assessed. The final ruling will be that of the Beer Relay Judges. The spirit of the spillage rules is that each player makes a serious attempt to complete the entire beer bong; slight penalties are applied if you cannot do the whole thing without spilling.
